Life Form Detected Again!

After yesterday’s visit with the midwives we confirmed that I was pregnant. But with the tilted uterus it was hard to see what was up with a belly ultrasound. So today I headed to the South location of the Birthing Center to have a dating ultrasound and make sure everything was looking good.

Once again someone behind the desk recognized me as a repeat mother. Even though it’s been almost four years since I stepped into that building.

When I went up to see the ultrasound tech and told her I had a tilted uterus, she didn’t even bother with a stomach ultrasound, but went straight to the transvaginal one (after I went pee). Much to my relief, everything is fine. Bae King has a nice strong heartbeat.

She measured Bae at 7w5d, and since the midwife and I calculated me to be at 7w3d yesterday, then there’s really no point in changing the 40-week mark for a one day difference. The official 40-week mark is now 10/24/2015.

Bae's First Picture

The little circle above Bae is the yolk sac. I’m guessing that’s what the midwife and I saw yesterday but because of how titled I am it was hard to tell.

I’m just so relieved that everything is fine and that there’s only one in there. Now to figure out a Halloween costume if Bae comes around 40-weeks. I already know what I’m going to do if I’m still pregnant on Halloween. Because, you know, priorities.

PS. If Bae is born on 10/27, that would be the 17 year anniversary of Darius asking me out. If Bae is born on 10/28 it would mean that Bae, LP, and I all share a birth day-of-the-month.
