Supermom

The other day I posted to Instagram about how I was a supermom for working all day and then coming home and making dinner and nursing Young Sir at the same time.

Today the day started at 4am when Little Prince came in to our room crying because he had a blood nose. So there was dealing with that. Then there was nursing Young Sir when Darius couldn’t keep him calm anymore and Darius dealt with LP. Eventually the nosebleed stopped and LP and YS were back asleep, but by that point it was 5am and pretty much time for me to start my day.

Got up, showered, ate breakfast, packed up lunch for me and bottles and nipple for YS. Nursed YS in bed while convincing LP to get up and snooze the alarm. Got LP up, out of pjs, into uniform. Changed YS’s diaper. Got LP to brush teeth while dressing YS. Wrapped YS, got LP breakfast and set him up with a YouTube video (he gets one in the morning if he’s a good cooperator), and got milk together to donate. Got everyone out the door, into the car with YS’s bag, my backpack, my pump, and the donation bag.

Dropped YS and LP off at daycare. Went by the hospital and dropped off another 100 ounces of milk for the Mother’s Milk Bank. Went to work. Got the graphics review of a project back with almost no edits (I rock!). Got some progress on the next project (and found some database snags). Pumped twice for 15 minutes each (got 15+ ounces total), ate lunch outside, left work on time.

Got home, set up milk for YS for tomorrow (5 2.5 ounce bottles, one usually comes back home), put some milk in the freezer. Darius had already started dinner and he went to shower with LP while I nursed YS. Was able to get the green beans in at the right time and get the rice off the burner and get the chicken out of the oven and then finished nursing YS while Darius got dinner together for everyone. Ate dinner.

At the end of dinner YS pooped a huge poop. Dealt with that. Then washed dishes while Darius entertained the children. Then LP helped me bathe YS. Then I started LP on his teeth brushing while Darius got YS into his pjs. Nursed YS to sleep on the bed while Darius put LP to sleep.

YS finally fell off the breast and I was able to get away from him. Fed the boycat, scooped two litter boxes, made a double batch of cornbread for the Chili Cook-Off at work tomorrow, cleaned up (badly) the sugar that spilled all over the floor (oops…floor still sticky), and washed the dishes from making the cornbread.

Cornbread came out really nicely. Baby is still asleep. Darius has folded laundry. Me fall over now.
