My mom also did "not for you, this is for you" with both me & my sister growing up. We're both pretty secure, confident individuals. I know its not the only factor, but I like the idea behind it.

[...] The procedure was very quick. They numbed under LP’s tongue, then got him crying (poor thing) and took a thin pair of scissors and snipped it super fast. He cried until I got him on my breast (all of 5 seconds, because I was already holding him). Then he nursed for about five minutes and was perfectly happy after that. No blood or anything. It was so simple. I wish I’d had it done right after he was born. I bet it would have helped with our early latching problems. [...]

I remember having a lot of fun with signing. You do your best to show them something and then they interpret it. The best part is seeing what comes back and how their minds wrap around what you've shown them.

If you haven't tried pears yet, you should. My sister has a tree, and my nephew got a hold of one out of a bucket she had picked at about LP's age... It was adorable!

I ran across your blog as I'm trying to do research on wraps/slings that are easy to breastfeed in. I am going back to work next week to a very small town shop that is in NO way breastfeeding friendly. I am one of two employees and have to be available to talk to walk in Customers, answer phone calls and work on the computer. Thankfully, I will be able to take my 6 week old with me, but I'm frantically trying to find a wrap that will be easy and discreet to nurse her in. I thought I wanted a Moby because of the amount of coverage it seems to provide compared to the other wraps/slings, but your comment about the Ergobaby sling has me wondering... Can you give me more feedback on your experience with both? Thank you so much! (And - I love your blog and pics - very beautiful! Congrats!)
