Today Nerdkiddo was home sick from preschool. Nerdmommy and Nerdkiddo were reading a book about Hawkeye (written and illustrated by women, btw) and it had Hawkeye joining S.H.I.E.L.D. and stopping villains with Black Widow. So they had a talk about the villains were Hydra (probably).
Nerdmommy convinced Nerdkiddo to give Nerddaddy a hug when he got home and whisper “Hail Hydra” in his ear.
Nerddaddy’s reaction (after he was done laughing): Did Nerdmommy put you up to this?
Nerdkiddo asks Nerdmommy what cup she wants with dinner.
Nerdmommy: Avengers.
Nerdkiddo: Avengers is just for boys.
Nerdmommy: Oh really? Name me two girls who are part of the Avengers.
Nerdkiddo: Black Widow and ummm…
Nerdmommy: How about Wasp and Scarlet Witch?
Nerdkiddo: Oh, right.
Nerdmommy: So, is the Avengers cup just for girls?
Nerdkiddo: No…
Then there was the question of if he wanted the Avengers cup with dinner and that’s why he didn’t want to give the cup to nerdmommy. But nerdkiddo wanted the Batman cup, so nerdmommy got the Avengers cup in the end.
